Man Dupes Scottrade, Nailed by FBI Cyber-Squad

A man pretending to be a Scottrade client was able to convince Scottrade brokers in Florida to liquidate several client accounts and direct more than $32,000 into his bank account. According to reports, Christopher Maury skipped town to New Zealand, but was picked up as soon as he stepped foot back in the U.S.

A St. Louis-based FBI "cyber-squad" was able to track down the fraud, find the perp and recover the funds. a total of $32,020 was returned to Scottrade, which had already made the clients' accounts whole.
