The TradeKing team announced in their forums today that options specialist Dan Passarelli will start blogging on the TradeKing network. Passarelli, following a well-worn path to expertdome, started his career as a floor trader, then an options instructor and author. He has done work with CBOE and OIC to educate investors.

Pasarelli will be posting as a "TK All-Star" in the TradeKing community which is open to both members and non-memers. Though not as big as some of the recent acquisitions we've seen, this move is consistent with online brokers' efforts to build a larger education presence both as an account generator and a retention tool.

Scottrade recently launched a new public education center. TD Ameritrade (AMTD) recently bought thinkorswim, optionsXpress (OXPS) bought Optionetics and MB Trading recently bought WizeTrade.
