The team at trade MONSTER today announced that users can now set up detachable windows on the company's trading platform. A demo of the enhancement can be seen here.

Detachable windows are important because they allow active traders to create a true multi-tasking environment. This is a nice improvement, especially for a web-based platform.

We've always liked the ability to detach charts, a functionality that has been around for years on Prophet.net, now part of TD Ameritrade (AMTD). Detachable chart functionality is also available on sites like Yahoo Finance (YHOO) and AOL Money and Finance.

But with this launch we believe trade MONSTER takes things a step further. Not only can active traders set up multiple windows to watch charts, they can also set up windows to watch portfolios, construct trades or conduct research simultaneously.

The functionality also works with multiple monitor set-ups so the really active among us can set up a true, professional trading environment.

The new functionality allows traders to do the following:

• Create multiple display windows on one screen
• Maintain real-time streaming data on every display and screen
• Create a multi-screen experience if you have more than one monitor
• Detach watchlists and charts
• Save personalized layouts for maximum customization
