tradeMONSTER's Twitterific Tools for Active Traders; SCHW, AMTD, OXPS

tradeMonter TwitterIf you're the kind of active trader that has grown to love the rapid updates and pervasive sharing that Twitter provides, then you'll appreciate the efforts made by tradeMONSTER to embrace the Twittersphere.

The firm announced today that they're putting more oomph behind their Twitter integration. Basically tradeMONSTER customers can manage all their Tweeting without leaving their trading application.

"The best trades are often the result of exposure to the most current and relevant information. Our customers who use Twitter to better monitor information on stocks, ETFs and options strategies can now do so from our platform," said Wade Cooperman, CEO of trade MONSTER.

"This is our holiday present to traders who want all their research tools consolidated in one place. We will continuously add new social networking features to our trading platform to assist our customers with their research."

We can only imagine the push for more integration comes in part from the notoriously active Twitter trader himself, Jon Najarian (@optionmonster). His active Tweeting has generated a loyal following of nearly 8,000 active traders -- a gold mine for a young brokerage looking to add accounts.

We've seen active Tweeting from @TradeKing and @Scottrade. The newest to join the bunch, @Fidelity, is still just getting their bird feet wet. But none beats @optionmonster when it comes to prolific public updates. Thus far companies like Charles Schwab (SCHW), TD Ameritrade (AMTD) (including thinkorswim) and optionsXpress (OXPS) have, surprisingly, avoided any experimentation with social networking.
